White spot emergency

Can anyone tell me if these white spots are a disease? He scraped his head and that's seems like its healing but these spots on both sides don't know if they were there b4 or no just confused. Administering melafix for the wound day 3

Mine has little pale, reflective spots near his gills, but they are equal bilaterally, so I assume it's his natural coloring, so I'd think the same for your's.

In the future, I would not use Melafix. Anything with -fix in it has tea tree oil, which can coat their labyrinth organ, which is part of how they breath (when they come up and gulp some air). Bettafix is a watered down version of Melafix, but unless nothing else was available and it was last-ditch, I personally plan on avoiding it altogether for my betta.
