Male or Female.

Havent been on this site since I found out I was pregnant in 2011. I was at petco and my local store is starting to sell juvies so I picked one up alonge with a dbtplkt couldnt help myself. Anyway my guess is it going to be male judging by the anal fin but I could be wrong what do you all think? Havent named him yet looks like he is going to be a yellow of some sort. The flash is giving him a green iridescence look but that is not visible with naked eye so I dont think he will be green but who knows.

Yeah possible like I said the only thing that makes me think its a male is the anal fin compared to some of the others. The little thing is only about one inch if that so its still pretty young to know for sure.

It is probably a late maturing male. The breeder culled due to small size at a certain age.

I guess male and he will be blue. Just a random guess really.

This is kind of fun getting a juvie and not knowing how he/she is going to turn out. In all there were around 15 juvies and the little guy was one of the bigger ones they may have all been from different spawns but my uneducated guess was that there were two seprate spawns maybe three. most of them that were slightly bigger looked like they were going to be blue and red multi. Then there was a one that looked like it might be a marble as there was patches of green iridesence in the light then the majority were just brown spotted. About four were little cambodians possible butterflys. I was kind of banking this one would turn out yellow so thats why I picked him/her

Update! I named him Dr. Sheldon Cooper. He is so cute I got him a ghost shrimp and he follows it around(as of yet not attempting to bit it.) He is more comfortable yesterday he was hiding from the camera today he didnt even care. I really think its a he at this point.
