Phoenix's fins, then and now

I was just wondering if this was coloring or fin rot. I'm thinking coloring, but I'm not sure. If it is coloring do you think he's going to turn more black?

Last week when I brought him home...


Today...


It doesn't look like he's lost any more of any of his fins. Just the damage from last Monday when part of the bottom fin fell off.

I'm not familiar with this type of coloring so that's why I'm asking. I just want to make sure his fin damage isn't getting worse.

I'm pretty sure it's just his coloring. He looks like he's improving to me.

Yay! Thank you! The original red streak that was on his fin has lightened up a lot, but like I said I noticed a very tiny red dot on the same fin yesterday so we started the triple sulfa. Hopefully we caught it in time.

He's very alert and super funny. He's full of personality and eats like a champ now.
