Oh what a sweet baby betta, so cute! I can't believe pet shops sell such young bettas though............here they are at least 3 months old.

Everyone agrees it is a bad idea and most of these babies won't make it but we still can't help taking them home! So far as I know only one pet store chain is selling them--Petco.

Yeah I really don't agree with them being sold so young but I can certainly understand why someone would like to buy them because they are so adorable, it just seems sad that most of them won't make it and that the breeders can't even be bothered to hold onto them until they are older and might have more of a chance at life.....as I say though very cute and totally understandable why someone would buy them

too cute!!! I've thought about getting a baby. I've got a 3 gallon tank sitting empty right now.... But hubby doesn't think we should ever use the 3 gallon again for our fish, and we should only ever have 5 gallon tanks. I suppose a baby would be ok in 5 gallon, but that seems kind of big for such a little guy...
