compatible tankmates for a five gallon (male betta)

i am going to upgrade my betta (Mardi) to a five gallon tank this week and i was wondering if i could put

1 male betta
2/3 ADFs
5/7 ghost shrimps

does anybody have any other ideas?

The frogs will probably eat the shrimp. One or the other.

I'd go with the shrimp. Way more interesting to watch than the frogs, less bioload and less maintenance. Just make sure you give them lots of places to hide!

Depends on the type of snail. Mystery/apple snails need a minimum of
2g per snail.

ok i think the pet stores in my town only carry apple snails but i have never really looked to see what the kind of snails they have

I wouldn't do 2 in a 5g tank. I have one in my 5.5g, 1 Nerite snail & 1 male Betta. For me its plenty, my Betta is constantly on the move, the mystery is active & the nerite well he/she pops up every now & then.

Yes, snails do poop a lot- but they can be fun to watch and they're good cleaners.
