Question Should I Get Them????

There is a post on craigslist.com about 7 fish that are only $15
3 platies (they only specified 1 orange and 2 yellow)
2 cichlids (we know that we can't keep them with other nonfeeder fish)(one is light purple and one yellow with black stripes)
1 african dwarf frog
1 puffer fish (we know that we won't be able to keep it with freshwater fish)
and a plant

should we get them and has anyone purchased animals on craigslist.com

i will post pics soon

Do you have tanks big enough to house them all? What kind of puffer is it ? You can't really keep the cichlids with any of those other fish.

according to your sig you don't have tanks for the cichlids. just trying to help. cichlids produce a lot of ammonia and waste.

I have purchased fish off of Craigslist before. I actually wish I had the tank space to have taken all the fish the person had left because they were in deplorable conditions. Alas though, I didn't so I had to take the 2 I came for and leave the others. I think it still took them close to 2 months to finally sell the rest of the fish. I have also sold fish on Craigslist. I have had good experiences both ways but the important thing is to make sure that you can support them like they need to be supported and make sure they are not going to cause problems with your exhisting set up and fish.
