Talking Help me pick a female :)

So I plan on breeding my crown tail :)
This isnt for online sale or anything.
Just for people and the pet stores in the area.
Veiltails & crowntails are very common around here.
And I have a pet store willing to take both off my hands if I breed them :).

I'm thinking the first or fourth girl. You want want try to match them as much as possible. By the way, you do realize you'll be dealing with 100+ little fry that are all depending on you, right? This isn't a one day job. You need to condition the pair, watch them like a hawk, get a microworm culture for the fry, etc. Also, many pet stores won't take good care of your babies unless they're a local mom and pop store, and maybe not even then. So, you have to be careful. Good luck!

Oh...sorry. Now I feel kind of stupid. But lots of people on here haven't bred before and don't really know what they're dealing with. Well, I haven't bred either, but I pick up really good info on here. Really sorry about that.

Colors aren't always the main thing.. you can try to match, but unless these have been bred by you for a few generations, you don't know what colors will come out of a spawn.

I do recommend sticking with a CT female - any other fins will be a bit messy with the CT boy.

Honestly, the 3rd girl (clear cellophane) looks to be the second healthiest of them all, but the healthiest of the CTs and I would go with her.. she seems to have good lines. Lots of conditioning still needed.

Good luck!

i personally think the tricolor girl has some potential...same with the aforementioned clear finned girl. with her, coloration will largely be a blank slate, so you might have some unusual recessive colors pop out.

I liked the last girl too.. but that red coloration around the head looked suspicious in terms of sores/bacteria, along with the brown discoloration by her belly... But that's just my paranoia. Otherwise, I would of chose her.. could get some nice grizzles.
