New Toy for Vardaman

Today I was winding all of my embroidery floss onto their holders. My pearl floss had a spool in the middle. I thought that it might float, so I stuck it in Vardaman's tank and it did! It's like a floating log, but smaller and cheaper. He loves it. He even looks like he might be smiling in this photo...

Awwww, how cute! It's almost enough to make me take up embroidery.

I did say almost, right? I wonder if I can get something like this without actually having to take up embroidery. I don't think I have the patience for that particular craft!

I do cross stitch. I love it! I'm sure there are other uses...friendship bracelets?

You cross-stitch too?! :D I finally found someone who does! :)

Do you ever take the leftovers and go "fishing" with them? I do!

I hang the leftover threads in the tanks and the boys bite at them. Vardaman will hang on for a while and flip around. It's like fishing without a hook and without taking the fish out of the water.
