Hello Betta Lovers!

My name is Lindsey. I've been lurking here for awhile now and have just been blown away by the lovely bettas and tanks I've seen here! Also, that Aquabid thread, not fair haha... I want I want! :) But anywho, I'm not new to fish keeping and not new to bettas. I lived in Iowa and had many tanks and fish from mollies to goldfish to bettas. But now I'm in Indiana and had to start all over again.

So, I have been reduced to a 5 gallon and a single betta whom I love to pieces. I was inspired by the planted tanks I've seen here so this is my first attempt at it. It's only had plants a couple days but so far so good. There are only 2 anubias nana and some wisteria so far but I will be looking to add java fern next. Here are some pics of it so far...


And here is my "halfmoon" copper butterfly? Named Pooter!

I was afraid of that, thanks for letting me know :) I tried using Photobucket on my phone for the first time. Looks like I learned my lesson there lol...

Yeesh, I'm away from my comp for a couple months and everything changes. I see how to make them smaller I think, but my comp is so slow that it won't do it. Hopefully I can get it to work on my phone so I don't have to use my comp. I have to put it on an open box or else it will shut off from overheating lol >.>

Thanks :) it's hard getting good pics of his color with the iPhone. He has orange/purple shine in his fins and he changes from blue to steely grey when the light shines on him at different angles. I really need a new camera and computer lol

Ok, I decided to use that stuff.. uh.. oh yeah! Patience! Haha, and whipped out the old p.s. cam and I'm glad I did, even though out of 20 some pic I only liked six, I'm happy with how they came out. It shows his colors soooo much better! So here is Pooter again! :)






Sorry for all the pics, but I looooovee when the camera cooperates :) And Pooter is quite the ham for the cam when he wants to be!

Taking pictures of fish definitely takes patience!! But he's lovely! When I take pictures of my fish I usually delete at least half of them!
