Wink Baby Betta~

This is Olive, my baby that I've had for roughly two months. Anyone mind helping me guess if (s)he's a boy or a girl and what (s)he is?

Still too small to tell, but I would guess male. S/he is looking a little on the small side for a betta that age. How long is s/he.

you've had him/her for 2 months? s/he is super skinny, what are you feeding? How often do you feed? How often do you do water changes, babies need a lot of water changes to keep growing!!

I do water changes everyday, at least 50%. Now, I feed him crushed pellets and bloodworms, as much as he'll eat. I can start feeding him more times a day though. He's roughly an inch long (It's hard to tell since he keeps moving). He was also super tiny when I got him.

I agree; he seems very underweight. I would feed him two to three NLS sized pellets twice a day. (that's what I fed my fry when they were roughly that size)

Thanks guys :) Now I feel like I'm underfeeding my fish. They should have a bit of a belly, right? I have a really hard time telling if things are underweight, including myself. So more than one feeding a day is recommended?

Feed the baby 2-3 times per day and keep up on the water changes and I think you'll see an improvement!
