Please Help Me!

I have had a Blue Male Betta Fish since summer of 2009, I Just bough him a new aquarium this monday he stays in only one spot either the bottom or the top and yesterday I bought him a boat cave, but today I was feeding him and the water smells like spray paint!!! Will this kill my Fish???

Get him out into any container. Take everything out and rinse them really well with hot and then cold water. Fill it back up, and wait and see if it starts smelling again. If it doesn't after a week, you could probably put him back in.
