Yes, just hang in there, the spikes will drive you nuts but it worth the journey..

I remember those days when I asked for help on this forum with my ammonia and nitrite spikes. thanks for your help shellica.

Day 46 of my cycle: 0 Ammonia & Nitrite (10 days straight), consistent increase from 0-10, 10-20, and 20-40 Nitrate since. Just had a 50%WC 2nd time in the last 10 days, previous one was 2 days ago with 10% WC.

have 4 amano, 6 adult RCS, 4 baby RCS, 1 golden mystery snail in the 5g tanks plantd, filtered, with air stone.

i tested my "naked" water today

ph: 7.6
ammonia: 1ppm
nitrite: 0ppm
nitrate: 10ppm

i'm about to do a 50% water change in my 2 gallon tank and i'll report back with those readings within the hour. my mom's on her way to visit i have to hurry and clean up the house
