Is this too crowded?

In my opinion it is, but I always advocate that fish need as much room as possible so I'd like some opinions.
This is a ten gallon tank.

I currently have:
- Three Zebra Danio
- Two Albino Cories
- One Male Betta

HOWEVER I do want to add two more cories as they are schooling fish. And I would like to add a handful of shrimp as well. I'd be willing to hold off on the shrimp, but I really think the schooling fish need some additional companions. I already have a quarantine tank set up with four zebra danios (because mine need more friends to be happy), but I'm a bit uneasy, since I had the danios in a 20G before and I think they should have as much swimming room as possible.

Opinions?

IMO ten gallons is too small for zebra danios. I would move them to the 20 gallon if you still have it. I think a betta and 2-3 cories pretty much stocks a 10 gallon tank.

I agree with eemmais on the danios, but without them there is still room for a full school of cories, (5 or 6) plus a betta.

If you have a really good filtration system and/or lots of plants, your tank can support both schools in terms of bioload until you can upgrade to give them all room. :)

I'll have to agree with you both (I had a few of my danios in quarantine last month and they were miserable in five gallons). I think I'll stick to a school of cories and a betta. I adore cories - they are the cutest goofiest little catfish ever. I'll keep the danios in there temporarily but I think I'm going to fill out their school and separate them as suggested. Thanks guys!

I have Albino corydoras! I didn't choose the morph/color purposefully, but I do love them. Their little pink eyes are to die for.

One of my babies!

Aww that is an adorable cory!!!!!

I agree with everyone on the Danios. I have Danios--separate from my Bettas in a 20G and they seem to be happy, but I don't think I would put them in a smaller tank.
