My 10 gallon tank isn't a jungle, but it's fairly heavily planted.
So, between all the plants, the cabomba that gets uprooted if I even
think about touching it, the hornwort that wraps itself around everything, the IAL, wood, caves etc, and watching out for my fishy inhabitants (my betta's been sucked up once in the vacuum- not gonna do
that again), I feel like by the time I've removed half the water I've only been able to vacuum 10% of the gravel. I know my rooted plants will use some of the debris, but I feel like my gravel must be getting way too dirty. Especially with my otos- they're little poop machines!
Anyone have any tips for vacuuming gravel in a heavily planted tank? How do y'all do it? Should I just start using a turkey baster?
