Wal-mart find

I was in walmart and I was just doing some shopping and I noticed a betta in a cup he looked lost so I took him home for his well being...

He is very pretty love his color...great find and nice of you to take him. My Betta Perseus also came from Walmart.

Well he is orange and is pineapple and is a spadetail I will get some pics of him flaring sooner or later, but for right now I am letting him adjust to his new home

do all yellow bettas have that same pattern? mine has the exact same pattern. i bet if you put a bright light near him he will be purplish.

you talking about the scales? the black around the edges is called "pineapple" and he does have some purplish coloring on him.

Yeah I have seen lots of people have been finding nice ones at wally, I saw him and had to go through my mental checklist to see if I had a tank and heater available for him and I do just needs to be set up but this tanks usual residents are getting a cycle going in my new 46 gal bowfront so I have time to set up a 2 gal for him and he will keep the cycle going in this one so win win
