He is really stressed from being shipped. He sounds like he is constipated and depressed. Make sure he has a stimulating environment and consider feeding him something to help his digestive system, such as a pea. The best way to do this is boil a frozen pea for 30 seconds and take the skin off before cutting it into tiny (I mean TINY) pieces and feeding it to him. He will probably poop a lot because it will clean him out. Make sure he is in a low traffic area, and that he has things to hide in. Until he fully adjusts to the new environment, he may be more prone to sulking on the bottom especially if he feels exposed. Try not to smother him with attention until he feels comfortable and is swimming around. You might consider starting him on a mild medication such as bettafix to help his fins repair and prevent infection. Good Luck!
