Discoloration?

My fish Paris has been getting a weird greyish coloration on his body. I'm scared that it's the unknown disease that just kills fish, but that seems to attack fins. Any help?

Housing
What size is your tank? 1 G
What temperature is your tank? Unknown. Not cold, though
Does your tank have a filter? No
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Omega One Betta Pellets
How often do you feed your betta fish? 3 pellets once a day

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? 3x a week
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50, 50, 100
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Betta Conditioner

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Discoloration on body and gills

I'm a new betta mommy. I might just be worrying with no cause. But the grayish color around his gills started getting bigger and dark spots started appearing on his body. I didn't know what to make of it.

Hmm. he might have the marbling gene. If he is acting normal he might just be coloring up from his new home with a caring mommy!
He looks fine to me too!

Of course it's turned sideways.

I'm relieved to hear yall don't think it's anything serious ^^ kinda panicked. Marbling would be cool!

That spongebob decoration contains metal. I would remove it ASAP. I agree, I think that's your bettas natural coloring.

:( I had the same decoration. A lot of people use teracotta pots. They work well as long as you plug or knock out the hole.
