It seems like everyone has a different opinion about feeding their bettas... Currently I feed Picasso one pellet, three times a day (a pellet soaked in water is about the size of his eye - I feed him protein-rich pellets). But, what's an ideal feeding schedule? Or at least, what are some opinions? Am I feeding my fish too much?? When I was at Petco the other day, the worker in the aquarium section said that every day was way too often to feed a Betta, and that they only need to be fed every two days...
I know Bettas' stomachs are about as big as their eyeball, but how fast do their stomachs empty? I also know that they can technically survive a long time without food, but is that necessarily good?
Also, how often is is ok to give freeze-dried shrimp or bloodworms as treats? Or are those not ok even occasionally?
