I was at a new lfs I found today and was looking at all the fish. They had some quite exotic ones! I brought home 4 Pygmy Cories.

They only had 3 Bettas there. 2 females where in a tank with platys and 1 male was in a neon tetra tank. The females looked fine. But the poor male had his fins all torn up due to the neon tetras biting him. I am so mad I didn't take him home. My 5.5 gallon was all ready. Ugh, my parents hate bettas because the ones we have had died within 6 months. He was so beautiful. I really wish I rescued him .....

yeah!!!! my dad wont let me get another betta :c he said im fine with 1. I NEED ANOTHER ONE lol

I wish I could! The place is like a half an hour away and my parents won't budge. Poor guy ... I'll probably be going back in a couple weeks. He'll probably be there because the bettas there usually hid and nobody will see them and want them.

Aw :( My LFS is about that far away too, but I go there all the time just because I want to see the fish. I usually don't even plan on buying anything... xD But I can drive myself.

Can you call the store and ask to talk to the manager? Tell him/her about the betta, and ask if something can be done. (Or suggest what should be done....)

I'm going back in a few days because one of my cories died after just a day of owning him. The other 3 are crazy and doing great! Hopefully he'll still be there.
