Recommend a 25 watt adjustable heater

Hi I'm planning to get a betta today and I'm wondering what brand should I buy. I'd like to know your experiences with any brand and where it was purchased from. My tank is a 2.5g. After having bad experiences with zoomed's 7.5 I think I should get an adjustable just to be safe.

Correct call on getting an adjustable. I use the aquacon 25 watt and absolutely love it!

I use Hydor 25 watt heaters in all my tanks. I've never had any issues with them and they are all very consistent. They are adjustable and fully submersible. They also claim that they can be used out of water. I don't suggest that, and I always try to unplug mine before water changes. I did forget to unplug one once and had no problems with it being on out of the water. I bought mine from Amazon.com and they were around $17 when I ordered them. It looks like price has dropped a few dollars though. Here's the link:

The Hydor Theo 25W is my favorite.

I would be extremely worried about a 25W heater in a 2.5 gallon tank, though ... it'll get hot fast, and not sure if the heater would be responsive enough to cut off in time.

If you do this, I would recommend lots of testing in an empty container (same water volume) first.

I'm with Waterdog . . . Aqueon except I went with a 50W for my 2.5g.

Hydor Theo from Amazon and a Archaea Mini. Both are great, the Mini is pricier, but smaller and has an external control.
