Can you use one airpump for two sponge filters?

Mine is rated for 10-30 gallons. I have 5 gallon tank and I am going use another 2 gallon for temporary housing for a very small pretty female I came across today. Can I split the lines and use just one pump? Will it still be as effective?

I'd use a gang valve ... that way you can control the flow to each of the sponges also. The 2 gallon will probably want less flow than the 5 gallon.

Most definately. Use a two valve gang and you will be fine.
