Betta fish has white on fin

hi there, my betta fish has a white patch on his fin and i was wondering what it could be, i've searched online numerous times and it's mixed answers. I've read about fin rot and fungus infections, i'm unsure what the problem is. the fish itself i've had for 7 months with a filter and heater.

image below

any advice on treatment would be a massive help! thank you

I'm sorry for asking, It might just be the picture, but it looks a little grey. Does it happen to resemble the picture in the sticky thread titled "IMPORTANT"?

Sorry, I have no experience with diseases. I just was wondering because of the picture.

And this disease says it kills fast, so it's probably not it if you discovered it at the beginning of the week.

It's probably not though. I'm really sorry for bringing it up. It might just be my computer screen that made it look grey. I have it on a low setting. I'm sorry.
