My betta and peas

My betta will not eat peas, is there any altenative to feeding him. I'm not positive but I think he looks a little bloated.

not eating peas...is he eating anything else at all?
when you are feeding him on his regular diet you should vary his food a bit. i feed mine peas, bloodworms, brineshrimp, and pellets all on different days. makes him a happy beta

i have not heard of a betta that does not like peas though. im not sure what other foods that they like that could flush out their system

I do vary his diet, all my fish' diets are varied. I feed him blood worms, betta flakes, and a ghost shrimp like once a week. I fed him the pea and he tasted it and spit it back out, he did this like 5 times

well you could always try preparing them different-use canned peas, boil them, defrost them, dry them out, etc. but there probably is some other veggie thats safe for fish.

to avoid bloat that you said your fish could possibly have you could skip a serving of food once a week or so.

are the peas mushy or firm? my betta only likes frozen peas, that i soak in hot water for few minutes to thaw. she has a little ritual of spitting it out, and eating it again, until the entire pea is gone. she obviously likes them, but doesn't always eat it up in one big gulp. i also make sure the peices are really small. and i also skip a day of feeding about once a week.

Ok I can try different varieties of peas and skip one meal a week, but I'd still like to know if there is another alternative just incase.
