How to cure clamped fins?

I have a 6 month old betta who long story short jumped out of his bowl, flopped across my counter, fell about 3ft onto linolium. He did this when I wasn't around, I found him just in the nick of time and saved him. He has struggled to heal from it (been 3 months). I think his fins are clamped rather than fin rot. I've treated him for fin rot a few times when it looked like it was starting, but nothing really came of it- other than the decay part stopped. What sort of medicine do I need to get and how to treat it?

This is a sign of fish stress, which can be from a wide variety of things.

I don't need to fill that thing out because I know what it is and where it's from. I just need to know what medicine or treatment would cure it.

Clamped fins isn't a disease, it's a symptom. It's impossible to treat without knowing more. He could simply be stressed/timid, in which case more hiding places, tannins, or darker tank could help, or he could have an infection, any of which could need any number of meds. Clamped fins are just the first sign a betta makes when something is wrong.

Sorry but I can't very well suggest treatment based on this.

ETA: I found an old thread: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=130628

Does everything still apply?

This is what was suggested before (a week ago):

Increased water changes
stabilizing temperature
changing diet
vitachem to help with fin regrowth (you can also use stress coat at 1 ml per 1 gallon)

What from this list have you already changed? how?
