I am a to-be betta owner residing in the Canadian Maritimes (which is made up of the provinces New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Nova Scotia). My family has had goldfish in the past when I was younger but once I get a betta it will be the first fish I have independently owned. In addition to my future fishy, I also have three cats and a horse. Pretty much anyone who knows me is aware of my huge passion for horses, I have been riding for the past 7 years and been a horse owner for almost two years.
I have done a lot of research on bettas in the past week or so to ensure my fish has the best life possible. Today I am going down to PetValu to buy everything except the betta, as I am going to do a fishless cycle with my tank. It'll be hard for me to stay patient but worth it in the end :)
