Prolonged flaring?

Does anyone know what effect prolonged flaring might have on the bettas? We have two crowntails in a split 10g. The divider is kind of a translucent divider so you can't see through it completely but they can enough to know who is on the other side and they're staying flared for quite a while at each other. We have a large plant on one side and are gonna try another large one on the other side...but I was wondering how much that prolonged flaring at each other would stress them out and if it'd be bad for their health??

Stress is a fish killer and this cuases stress. You could possibly put a colored piece of plastic nnext to the divider temporarily.

They've calmed down alot. One of them hit the divider a couple of times and then turned his back on the other one and swam off and that seemed to settle the matter. It was quite interesting to watch. The other one tried to start something again but the apparanty "winner" of the first round was like no man, not now...so they've not been flaring and they're sleeping at the moment actually. So I'm hoping they'll just live with each other next door now.

two of my tanks are ready i am so happy i still cant put fish in them because my hearters are not working so i have a 30g and a 5g ready
