Unhappy I cant win ; Fin rot

So i have eradicated the ich. And now my betta's tail is deteriorating very rapidly. Its turning black/grey at the tips and has splits in it. I noticed it very small amount yesterday and today it has the majority of the end of his tail. And his tail is extremely short. I havent seen the molly nipping at his fins and he doesnt seem distressed. My water quality is perfectly balanced. He is in a 5.5 gal tank with a molly and cory catfish. And i dont have a hospital tank anymore...

Please provide more info.

Also if it looks like that you need to treat ASAP with Kanaplex AND Furan 2. I would also add vitachem at 1 drop per gallon if you can find it to boost the immune system and stress coat at 1 ml per 1 gallon to reduce stress.

Bettas that have this rarely last more than 24 hours. Some have gone faster.

Treat now, get back to us with the rest of the info after. If you can't find Kanaplex try Maracyn and Furan 2 combined.

I am not sure if mollies can get this type of rot or disease but I'd remove it to another tank and not take it back to avoid transmitting the disease to other innnocent fish.
