Sometimes fasting will do the trick but if you need to add epsom salt its typically 1 tsp per gallon, predissolved & add about 1/2, wait an hour or so then add the other half. Epsom salts act as a laxative & help to reduce swelling if any is present. I typically move my Betta to a 1g tank, add the epsom salt & fast for a day or two, this usually works.

Well finges crossed he just needed fasting. I'm hoping he'll have some improvement by morning. How long should i wait before trying the epsom? He's already been seperated for about a day
