Talking Before and After - Lucky Stars 10 months later

Before

About 2-3 days later...

Now. he is REALLY hard to get a good pic of him since he is always moving

His Neighbor - Ferb. He actually looked better before IMO as he had more color but instead of marbling up, he unmarbled and turned mostly white.

he had blue coloring sort of and now its all gone

That is a seriously impressive improvement! It's so great to see what good can come of a little extra love and care. :)

Basically all I did was give him clean, heated water and maybe some AQ salt. I don't really remember. I'm really surprised he turned around so quickly and with no perment damage. He was just laying on the bottom of his cup, gasping and with THAT ammonia level...

Yeap - Ferb was more blue when I got him - had blue patches on his body and fins. Now he's a shimmery white with an odd redish patch on his fins.
And from walmart of all places

It is absolutely criminal that they let the ammonia levels get that bad. You ought to send that to an animal protection authority.

It's amazing how different he looks with your love and care! What a beauty he has turned out to be. :) He actually looks dead in that second photo.
