New Fishy!

So yet another change of plans- I got a veil tail. He's a really electric blue with red and a pretty white on his tail and a light or pastel aqua around his face. He's very nice and I've named him Opai (Short for Opaque) he's really sweet and I'm feeding him Bettamin Tropical blend flakes. I need new food I know any pellet brands to recommend?

I use New Life Spectrum, and my boys (and gal) love them! Omega One is also another good brand. You can find NLS at Petco and Omega One at Petsmart. :)
By the way, we would LOVE to see some pictures of your new guy!

I use Attison's Betta Pro, but NLS and Omega One are also great. :) NLS is widely regarded as the best, I hear.

I prefer NOT to use flakes only because it creates a huge mess which my otos have to clean up, plus it raises the ammonia I believe if too much gets left behind.

I prefer pellets (I have 3 different kinds) because most likely the fish will eat them without leaving any behind, and if so, it's easy to clean C:

The two most recommended foods on this forum are New Life Spectrum (NLS) betta pellets and Omega One Betta Buffet pellets. People prefer pellets because they're easier to count out, and they don't make a mess in the tank.

Petco carries both brands (NLS and Omega One). Petsmart carries Omega One only. Or you can buy them online via petstores, or Amazon, etc.

When you look for a food, pick out one that has lots of whole fish. Avoid ones that contain a lot of grain products (wheat, corn, gluten, etc), as they can cause health problems such as constipation and bloating.

Here is the fishy Opay. (O-pay) I love him ^^ He is not in this cup anymore It was just easy to snap a picture of him int here. He's now exploring endlessly around his fishy environment (aka a one and a half gallon bowl)
