Do Betta's like attention?

I saw on a web site that betta fish like when you rub there sides????
But I don't know if that is true? Can someone HELP ME!!!

I would be careful about that!
Before you try to, wash your hands in hot water WITHOUT soap to kill the bacteria.

Please, don't rub your betta fish, you may hurt him or kill him inadvertently.

Attention with fish likely means feeding it, observing it often for periods of time, getting familiar like hand-feeding etc.

Fish are not meant to be 'pet' or 'rubbed'. You may consider a feline, canine or perhaps a rodent like a dwarf hamster or something similar.

I've had my weather loaches come up and rub on my fingers while I was hand feeding a tubifex cube, but they're a whole different type of critter than a betta.
