small white bug?

there is thousands of small white bugs in my bettas tank.
there on the side of my bettas tank and on the bottom.some under the top of the water.


any advice or tips of what they are or how to give rid of them?

my thoughts are if you have any live plant that you just bought from the lfs and these bug things unknowingly came with it

Do they look like little white worms? Could be planaria if they do, caused by overfeeding. Won't harm the fish any but cut back on the food.

These look like springtails (Collembola). They can be either gray or brown, and they have no wings, they hop either on land or in the water.

i would say it was the plant. those are good ways for things like these to hich-hike into other tanks. i had this with snails.

Copepods, water fleas, planaria, aquatic white worms, and many other tings will be found in our fish tanks form time to time. 98% of them are harmless.

Little round dots swimming in irradic patterns - copepods
Tiny looking worms that incha long the glass - planaria.
Little white worms you find in the substrate 1/2 inbch or so - aquatic white worms.
Little dot looking things that seem to swim in circles and you can kinda identify different part of the body - water fleas.

If your really wanna get rid of them, I suggest using aquarium salt

i got aquarium salt and i think it is copepods, because there little white round
dots moving around
