Question Should I be Concerned?

Hello! My betta fish seems to have a silvery portion on her gill area. It is not fuzzy or crystally, just looks like silvery scales. Should I be concerned??? I have this medication called Jungle Fungal or something along those lines, and I used it once, but I didn't continue because I realized it wasn't an illness, just bloat.

Anyway. Should I worry??

I would like to put a picture up, but my camera takes pictures too large. I will link to my flickr, where you can see her.

This photo shows the silver on her gill, taken about 2 days ago.

By the way...

Housing
What size is your tank? 2.5 gallons.
What temperature is your tank? Not 100% sure. I keep a 10 watt heater in during the day, turn that off at night (I am afraid it will get too warm).
Does your tank have a filter? Yes, I only run it about 2-4 hours a day, though, because Sunshine doesn't like it.
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No.
Is your tank heated? Yes, as mentioned above.
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? A Marimo Moss Ball and a plant from Petmart.

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon Natural Betta Fish Pellets, and supplemented with Aqueon Natural Tropical Fish Flakes and TopFin Natural Tropical Color Enhancing Fish Flakes. I also give her frozen blood worms.
How often do you feed your betta fish? I feed her either one fish flake, broken up, or 2-3 pellets (soaked in water first). Occasionally I give her one little potion of frozen blood worms.

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Once a week.
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 100%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? A brand I can't remember. It is a conditioner of some sort.

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters? No.

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? She has always had this silvery bit on her gill area. I don't know why, it was there when I got her. It hasn't gotten larger. I just worry about it.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? She is happier and more active in her new tank.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? When I first got her.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Not at all.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Nope. I once thought she had Dropsy, but she never has pine-coned, and after being put into her new tank, she has lost most of her bloat.
How old is your fish (approximately)? I have had her about 3 months, I do not know her date of birth. Assumed age... uh.... 1 year.

There have been several other concerned betta parents that have posted similar concerns and most of the time it turns out to be perfectly normal. My two bettas also have the shiny silvery scales on their gill covers :)

Thanks again, guys. After reading a bit on here about the Velvet thing, I got confused/concerned. I am just glad it was over nothing. :)
