Good luck!

Ooh, nice. o: I was considering doing something like that too, but I don't think I'd be able to handle being a vet.

Nice! I have a friend doing the same thing you are. :) She seems to like it. I was thinking about history too, but having to remember all those dates and people and ahsdjkfhsgkjh. I can't even remember my best friend's birthday, let alone historical dates.

I'm not going to collage yet, but I already know I want to major in Marine Biology. Defiantly go into more of the fish side of it, and sea turtles. I love sea turtles!

That's what I'm doing. :) Minus the sea turtles. Or not mostly sea turtles, I guess. I like all of the sea creatures, so I plan on just doing the animals/fish side of it, rather than plants and stuff. I will probably take a plants class though. There was one on the course line up, but it was optional. You could choose animals or plants, and I want to focus mostly on animals, but I might take the plants one just to learn more about them. Might help me out with the planted tank I'll be having while I'm there. :)

I'll join the sea turtles brigade!! I love them too. I even got a tattoo when I was 18 of one but the guy who did it made it look cartoonish. I'm super jealous of anyone who gets to go down and work on conservation!

I have my BA in history as well, its less about remembering dates actually, and more about finding a question about history and answering it using a stack of sources! lol

Its not so much about remembering dates and people like in high school. Its more about being able to write and analyze and make conclusions at the college level - similar to a dective. The bad thing is - I HATE writing

I wander around alot so I went with American Public University which is all online. There are alot of military people in the classes and I am one of the few that is female. not in the military or over the age of 35.

That's still a lot of stuff to remember and study! I love history though. :)

I guess that does make it a bit harder to do when you hate writing, huh? I like writing, but I don't think I would like doing that. xD It's actually kind of surprising that you're one of the few younger female citizens in the class. I know a lot of people that are doing the same thing you are. I guess not many in your area are, though.

Lol, I've had the exact opposite experience - I haven't joined any clubs or gone to any events! A lot of clubs at my uni are race-orientated (Chinese, Korean - almost all of the nationality clubs are Asian, in fact!), and the rest are sporty. What kind of clubs are at your uni, Tribolite?

Aw really that sucks, surely you guys have an equivalent of the tea party? Its like the end of year shindig where you all dress up in weird costumes and drink and dance. Go to it this year!! you wont regret it

We have the race/religion/politics ones but no one joins them lol. Then we have things like rocsoc (geology society) motosoc (motorsports) ensoc (engineering), gentlemans club even a cakesoc where you bring a cake every week
Basically, the majority are an excuse for a piss up lol so you don't even need to be studying that subject or have anything to do with it to join.

There's a lot of societies in my uni. We have a large variety, there's various Arts ones (like history soc, anthro soc, english soc etc) [I am co-VP of history soc] and then there's computer science, religious etc.. Oh my. All kinds of them. And sports. I don't think there's any Asian oriented clubs though- they prefer to just hang out around campus. Probably trying to get their education in our crappy weather and gtfo!

Generally, anybody can create a society as long as there's interest and you follow the student union guidelines. There is currently debates on why the Greek Philanthropy society cannot exist (union guidelines require males AND females are allowed to join but the society don't want women)
