Ok so it seems Absolem is gonna be a picky eater. He doesn't seem to want to eat his pellets, and I've tried two types. He will eat a freeze dried bloodworm, and a pellet very rarely. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

The thing is, people tend to believe whatever is common, or easily accessible, must be inferior to the less common stuff. You see this everywhere in our economy, not just with fish foods. Considering the fact that there have been no legitimate trade studies performed on the effects that various fish foods have on fish life span/overall happiness, I believe the differences between the foods are moot. However, I will say that fish do tend to prefer the taste of certain foods over others - that fact is undeniable... but my fish tend to love both the common and less common foods, so paying more for something less common doesn't necessarily mean the fish will like the food better.
