How much to feed?

I am sure it has been asked a lot, and I have read a lot of information. But I figured Bettas were not like Goldfish and just eat and eat and eat.

I read somewhere to feed only as much as the Betta will eat in 2 mins. I also read to only feed once or twice a day. If you feed twice a day do only 4 - 5 pellets.

I am using NLS now, per peoples recommendations here. Was using Aqueon Betta Plus for a few days, but I did not like the inconsistent piece sizes. I gave my Betta 6 pellets of NLS this morning, and he is still acting hungry.

Thoughts?

Bettas do NOT have an "I'm full" meter so they will eat & eat & eat & eat & eat. You will have to feed the # of NLS pellets you think necessary for your Betta. Mine all get 6-8 NLS pellets per day.

Like shellieca stated, feed as much as you think is nessesary for your betta :) and remember to take out any food the fish doesn't eat because it quickly turns into toxic ammonia that can potentially hurt your fish.
Good luck !:)

I feed my fish penny-sized frozen bloodworms every other day. My feeding system works well for me and my fish. :)

EDIT: I should add that the penny-sized serving of bloodworms is not for one fish. xD I've got three other tetras in there and two frogs.
