What water conditioner does everybody use?

I got a sample packet of conditioner with my tank which I used for the first fill and one water change, but it's gone now and I need to get more right away.

What is most recommended around here?

I believe that it's seachem prime.

Has the added benefit of detoxifying ammonia into a harmless state for 24 hours where the filter can break it down thus making it temporarily safe for the fish in the tank. If needed prime can be overdosed to reduce nitrite levels just make sure follow the instructions given.

I think I am the only person on the planet that hates Prime.
The Stench of it - I can smell it several hours after using it...bleh

I use Stress coat but I also have backups (I buy when I have the money so if I run out when I am broke, its not a big deal). I also have API tap Water Conditioner and Amquel Plus. I did have Prime but finally used the last of it.

Since I have ammonia in my tap and not all tanks are filtered, I use stress coat with a small dose of Amquel plus to remove the ammonia.

Back in the day, hen I only had 1 betta I used Betta bowl plus.
My sister has Tetra something for conditioner-it was probably the cheapest one she could find cause she is awsome like that

I have never really haeard anything bad about any water conditioners on here, I dont think it maters what ind you use as long as you use something

I used to use Seachem Prime, but now I use this obscure Australian water conditioner that is cheaper and just as good called Supachlor. Apparently it also removes hydrated lime and does not contain formaldehyde.

I don't think I will buy Prime again, I'll just use what is cheapest. I've heard a few things about it, and since I don't need it I won't use it. :o

I have used topfin water conditioner, aqueon water conditioner, betta plus water conditioner and stress coat+. My bettas seem to prefer the cheap topfin one and the stress coat+. I keep the topfin as a back up for when i run out of stress coat suddenly.
