It was his blamed mom, she was a dt round tail with a bad case of mitten tail...
I think he is beautiful but I guess not breeding worthy. I will try again with this guy

The 2nd boy does seem to look better. Your first guy has quite the bent spine.

Here is another pic of the first boy, he is younger in this pic though. those pics do make his spine look very bent

if HM is your goal..then...I'll pick the second guy over the first one anytime. Better form overall,plus he has more interesting colors too.

As Indjo said, the first guy has a humpback, a short body and round tail. All of these are very hard to get rid of.
I think second guy and first female would be a nice combination form wise

For the male. He has split ventrals. And his dorsal looks like it has extended rays or poor webbing.doesnt look full hm. Fin proportions are good though.

Are you talking about the second male? Either way he is better than the first one. Just look for the non split ventrals in fry to breed further (split ventrals are genetic).

Second male does not have split ventrals. The first male will not be bred.
Second male is in the spawn tank with Peanut the nicer female right now.
She however is laying eggs on the opposite side of the tank so I will most likely need to pull her and recondition her.
