Question What is my marimo ball doing?

My marimo ball has never ever done this. I did a water change this morning and I changed the substrate and rearranged my plants and got rid of dead leaves and such. I rinsed the marimo as usual and put it in the tank where it promptly sank to the bottom. I come back a few hours later and the thing is floating just below the surface! I know the water still has some bubbles from the water change so could this be the reason?

I have had some do that before, eventually they sank down with the others...I think a light gentle squeeze may help? But give it time, it should sink in a few days.

Haha, yea, squeeze it. It's full of air in the middle.

I love marimos...I had them in a bucket waiting to find a new home and mum tossed them in garbage! They were beautiful big marimos too! Too this day it makes me sad :( poor fluffy things.
