This is my second son. Kenny is my first he is 2 years old and Ashton will be here on the 1st. Right now I'm going through a divorce and custody battle. This is how I started my Betta love. Right now custody is one week on and one week off. The weeks that Kenny is with my ex I was looking for something to do. I went to petsmart with my mom and BAM! I saw her. My first Betta Briseis. After reading up on Betta my love grew for them. So now I have 6 girls 2 boys and 1 baby.

Congratulations on your human baby! (And fish babies, too.)

How horrible about your divorce, and the timing! The only consolation is that the kids are too young to have as much emotional trauma as perhaps an older child would.
Pets are a great salve for emotional wounds.

Thank you. I hope things will get better. Plus the great thing about having the Bettas is that when Kenny is here he loves watching them and feed them. He is such a great help. :)

Plus, fish won't get jealous of the new baby! And you don't have to worry that they will make noises that will wake the baby. Or jump on him, bite him, shed on him..
Just be sooo careful that the tank is situated that Kenny can't pull it down on himself. If he learns about fish, it will teach him to have empathy, which is what makes us human.

If fish made noises, I'd never have adopted one!!! It's their stellar quality!!!
