After an afternoon of rearranging, i think i found the right setup.
on the left, i have Puff, who is an agressive baby who looks like a male. In the middle, i have Fish Sticks (the full grown male betta) and across the divider, Frankie, a baby that i'm not sure the sex of. He is flaring at it, but not as much as he was with the female. Then on the far right i have the female i bought recently. Hopefully this setup will be okay! I'm a college student, so i don't have the space to add more tanks unfortunately :(

Looks good. Careful with those lidless tanks, though - easy for a betta to jump out of.

Thanks! These guys don't seem to be jumpers, but I'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious

I have a male/female pair housed together, and there's absolutely no symptoms of stress with either one. And this is the girl that panics at the sight of the other girls.

For the same reason that's been stated, I don't want a jerk that wants to fight as my neighbor, I'd rather have some cutie next door.

As long as you keep up your water changes, that hormone won't build up enough to be an issue.

Just make sure they don't jump the divider, I've had a female decide that she was really in the mood for my male and over she went!

PS drop the water a few inches, and you should be ok.
