Gourami and Guppies

Hi guys! I'm going to be stocking my 15 gallon soon, and I'm wondering what kind of fish to get. Er... how many, rather. I already know that I want some or one dwarf gouramis and at least three guppies. My aquarium is already set up and running, with decorations, gravel and a running filter. Even a pH tester and an ammonia tester. Everything is good, and I'm just wondering if I'm being realistic with the wants of my tank. It is also a column, so I'm wondering if these fish might not be good in a tall tank. Thanks in advance!

I think one dwarf gourami will do, especially in a tank more tall than long. The tallness will mean that the gourami will hardly spend anytime in the bottom, due to their labyrinth organ. The guppies should be pretty dull, since the gourami will feel alarmed. They are territorial when it's male vs. male.
