Where to keep betta for a couple days?

I'm going to be dirting and planting my betta's tank soon. Where would you keep your little guy for a couple days while I get perimeters right? I would feel bad keeping him in the little cup he came in. Would a vase be okay?

The larger the amount of water the better. Try to keep him in something that has horizontal swimming space, and hopefully big enough that you can keep his heater in it with him. He'll appreciate that! If you have him in a small container, just keep up on water changes and he'll be fine for a couple of days.

Anything will work, a large tupperware bowl, a rubbermaid container, a critter keeper, lots of options. How big is the vase? Is tall? Remember they prefer horizontal swimming room rather than vertical.

I actually keep lots of small tanks on me just for this.
If you have a QT tank, that's always nice.

Kritter Keepers are what I'd suggest because they're cheap and have holes where you can put the heater in. I have a .5 gal and a 1.75 gal and it's an awesome investment

This is just my short experience, but setting up an NPT doesn't take too long. One of mine has had perfect test results from day one. The other needs closer monitoring but now that plants are actively growing it is fine.

As long as you are heavily Planting and have a good light, you should be able to put him back in that day. Just keep an eye on the test results.
