Yeah my friends and family either think I'm weird or like fish but are clueless and too lazy to research, let alone buy the proper supplies and actually keep up on water changes.

A lot of them tell me that they want to get a tiny tank and a goldfish and I give them a lecture about how goldfish need at the very least a 20 gallon tank, to themselves. No ones done it yet thankfully. My cousin keeps saying she wants a fish but her mom says no (thankfully). I just know that'd be a bad deal. My aunt also killed her last betta by suffocating him -_-

Um, anyways, I'm sorry we took over your thread, MoonShadow :(

MoonShadow - What are the requirements for adoptions? Do you require certain size tanks, references, tank accessories, etc...?

Hey guys, Moonshadow has a FB page where she adopts out bettas too http://www.facebook.com/pages/MoonSh...ref=ts&fref=ts

It's not just for forum members & she doesn't have requirements, but she does ask on her FB what accommodations you have for the betta. I adopted Patrick from her last month & he's great.

Justmel, I am so glad to hear you ended up with Patrick! I adopted Oz from Moonshadow and was watching on her FB page to see where Patrick ended up. He looked like such a sweetie! Glad someone here took him home.

Anyone up for adoption besides Cheeto? BTW What you are doing is great, finding poor fish forever homes!

You got Oz? I am so jealous! lol, he's a gorgeous boy & I wanted him, but at the time had no place, so glad to hear he got a good home too.

Patrick is a sweetheart. I let me 3 year old son claim him, so officially he's Jesse's (my son), and decorated with SpongeBob stuff in his tank now. I hope to get another rescue somewhere down the line, but it will have to wait a bit.

@crowntaillove, check moonshadows FB page. I think she has several DT's that she is helping now posted there.

Hey guys! Yes Cheeto is still available, I ask potential adopters to fill out an adoption application and I reserve the right to say no to someone adopting my fish. As far as tank requirements, I won't let my bettas go to a home where they will be in less then a 1 gallon heated tank.

I have a doubletail that should be available for adoption very soon, he's doing awesome!

When I get the time I have a 4 gallon or 5 gallon heated filtered tank. It will probably be the five gallon. But I'm planning on waiting possibly until I move all my tanks to my new apartment in June-ish.
