It is a dramatic change, and overnight too. Mom forgot the salts, so I'm going to get some myself. (The fish breaks my bank! But I love him too much.)

Also what is the difference between aquarium salts and Epsom salts?

For fish purpose here. Epson works on internal, Aq salt on external issues.

Thats a way too simple explanation I know.

Okay. Because I was reading on the fish diseases page and his condition looks most like external parasites and it says to use aq salt, but for the bloating it says Epsom and I don't really know what to do :(

I'm going to treat the parasite first. And hope the bloating will go with it or with time.

Don't try both at the same time unless otherwise noted. I'm not very experienced, I was honestly just guessing. Until a more experienced fish keeper tells you to, don't use any of my "educated guesses".
