Ethoxyquin in Omega One

I am a long time Hamster owner and while reading the ingredient list on Omega one I noticed the very thing the warn all hamster owners against is a preservative. Ethoxyquin is known to cause cancer and tumors in hamsters. I know Bettas are not hamsters ... But is it wise to feed this to a betta? I am going food shopping Saturday and was planning on buying Omega one.

Huh ... this is interesting. Apparently, it is toxic to fish.

Hmm... That stuff is bad news for Hermit Crabs as well, I've been buying them all natural food from an online place because the stuff they have at Petsmart sucks.
Does New Life Spectrum have this same preservative?

I found this on their website: http://nlsfishfood.com/index.php?opt...1&limitstart=5
Thoughts on their argument about preservatives?
From my understanding (and this may apply to Omega One), maybe they list it as an ingredient even though they don't add it themselves, because the fish (etc...) meal they use already has it added?

Frozen foods are the only thing that I can think of that don't have it, but I'm going to look it up to see if there's anything else that doesn't have that in it.
