Currious what ya'll think of my sister's VT male.

This is George, my sister's VT male. She insists George is a better specimen than Panic and i wanted to see what you guys think. He is in a vase, so the picture is a little warped because of the curved glass. he is kind of big; 1 and a third inches.he is just a pet store fish nothing special. his body is not black, it is a dark red and so are his eyes.anyway, help me resolve the arguement with my sister about who's betta is better. :)
here is a picture of Panic.:

George looks like he has fin-rot and is very clamped...

I love Panic, he's gorgeous. :) so is George, he just needs some TLC.

What are you counting as "better"? Better genetics, rarer colouration, things a breeder would look for, or just who people think is prettier? :)

The first dude looks like he has some fin issues going on there - curling and blackness on his dorsal in particular. The container he's in looks far too small, so it's possible this is caused by a build-up of ammonia?

huh.. idk i guess i had not considered it. I guess better show quality? i mean i know neither of them are show quality, like someone told me a while back that Pan has a bad Top-line for example. but i think George has a bad one as well. but also who people think is prettier.
lol dude.
yeah i should get her to buy a bigger tank for him!

Well, I'm a sucker for coppers, so I'd go Panic every time!

Poor George. Does he have a heater at all?

If George were healthy it would be a much tougher call. But as of now, I'll have to say Panic.

no. its the next thing im going to persuade her to do. i have told her i would like to have him if she doesnt want him but she wants to keep him. She cares about him, she just doesnt know how to take care of him yet. :)

Both of your bettas are gorgeous, but IMHO, I'd go with Panic. :) With some TLC, George should go back to his former glory! :p
