Found Out What He's Eating

I said he was picking at the plants, I figured out why.
Looks like those plants he was picking at had some hitch hikers. Looks like he's a regular clown loach.

It seems only 1 survived cause I threw in some daphina today and he at least tried it. It appears he prefers the taste of baby snail.

Edit:the one I found appears to be a ramshorn.

LOL! But, if they were on your plants, they're probably pond snails, they're far more commonly found on plants that you purchase. :)
Glad he's found a fun snack though! ;)

some of our bettas (the bigger ones, it seems) have taken up snail hunting to fatten themselves between meals. my HMPK Jack, however, likes to suck planarians off the glass of his tank.

I think my white worms are planarians as they are wriggling and not pond snail babies (round like a tiny air bubble).

They could be pond snails, they started showing up on my glass and off my plants they are very flat, I would remove them but they are just too cute.

seems like my 5cc Alum / 1g solution is working, the snail disengage themselves and drop to the bottom of the Plant QT bucket...wondering if I should feed these sesame size snails to my Finn...

I have a pond snail infestation. I started off thinking they were cute, thought, oh how nice, I'll have a few snails. Then they ate an entire wisteria plant, and absolutely INVADED my tanks. Now they're not so cute and nice.

Now I have assasin snails...to kill the other snails...and this is beginning to feel like one of those awful children's songs where you put one thing after another to fix the first problem, then to fix the second and the third and the fourth... ;)
