The could be glued together with aquarium glue and weighed down beneath the substrate with other aquarium safe rocks. Which brings me to ask a question. I am putting those smooth rounded rocks in my tanks that Petsmart sells in netted bags. Would that affect my PH? It's up to 7.6 from 7.0 when I change my water. They look like they are coated with something.

They're probably just polished, but they may be epoxy coated like some aquarium gravel is. Either way, should be safe and should be inert, so it won't alter your params.

I've used those rocks, never had an issue with my fish. :) Used them as both weights for plants I've made, and just as decoration with the larger, darker ones on my white gravel. :)
My guys have shown no issues with them. :)
