Now that my bettas are in their 10 gallon, they're definitely much happier. Patriot's been swimming all around, strutting his stuff, and Tina's been busy being a treasure hunter. She's been exploring all over the place and digging. She'll nudge gravel around or pick it up and spit it out somewhere else until she makes a hole. xD
Whenever Tina goes over to the divider (which isn't because she wants to see Patriot. Quite honestly, I don't think she even noticed him there yet.), Patriot flares at her and just stares her down from his side of the divider. I don't know if he's trying to show off for her, or if he's like "STAY OUT OF MY SPACE. D8<" He's been flaring at everything lately, so I think he might just be being territorial. He's been flaring at pellets too. Silly boy.
They seem really happy. :) They don't seem to mind each other's presence, either. Some other members told me that they might freak out at first, but then they'd get used to each other. There hasn't been any freaking out at all. :) They generally stay away from the divider, unless Patriot spots Tina treasure hunting.
My sister's ill betta is doing much better too. He was flaring at pellets earlier too.
